5 Travel Vloggers Who Visited Mumbai
Mumbai is the commercial capital of India. Being one of the most densely populated cities in the country, this place is not easy for vloggers. The noise can be unbearable for someone visiting from a western part of the world. This can be an issue if you are going to be filming videos on the streets, public transport areas, street food stalls, or near the beaches. Take aside the bustling noise, the place is really cool— people are friendly and welcoming. This article is about the travel vloggers who visited Mumbai.
Here are the 5 travel vloggers who visited Mumbai
#1 Bald and bankrupt
Benjamin Rich (aka bald and bankrupt) visited Mumbai way back in 2018. In fact, he began his YouTube journey from India with his friend Harald Baldr who was already an established vlogger at the stage. Bald and bankrupt’s Mumbai mall party video was one of the most popular on YouTube. He along with Harald also visited local markets and shared alcoholic beverages with a local man. He still uses the phrase “desi daru hunt” in his videos.
#2 Harald Baldr
Norwegian travel vlogger Harald Baldr in 2018. As I mentioned earlier he was accompanied by his friend and fellow vlogger bald and bankrupt. Harald visited Mumbai after his successful trip to Goa. He visited slums and other impoverished areas of Mumbai.
#3 Harry Jaggard
Harry Jaggard is an up-and-coming filmmaker and freelance videographer from the United Kingdom. Despite having a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Harry has chosen a life of a digital nomad. He made several amazing videos in Mumbai (in March 2022). In this video, you can see him interacting with locals in Dharavi (the world’s largest slum). Harry has learned a few Hindi phrases which you can see him use quite often in his videos.
#4 Volpe where are you
Carlos Volpe is a Venezuelan-American YouTuber who travels the globe with his French girlfriend Sophie. The show “Volpe where are you” is primarily hosted by Carlos, with Sophie as his sidekick. The couple has traveled across India even in lesser-known North-East Indian states. When in Mumbai they played Holi with the locals and chowed down on the mouth-watering food the city has to offer.
#5 Dale Philip
Not everyone likes him, but he is one of the funniest travel vloggers out there. Dale Philip is a Scottish vlogger who began his YouTube journey with a trip to Sri Lanka. Unlike Mr. Bald, Dale did not gain popularity right away, he got better as he made more videos. With a trip to India in 2020, his subscriber count went through the roof. Instead of taking the tuk-tuk like everyone else, Dale preferred to tour Mumbai on his “two strong legs”.
Summary
Mr. Bald and Harald have different attitudes toward vlogging. Instead of copying others that developed a whole new niche called “amateur travel vlogging”. I am glad Mr, Bald chose India to kick-start his YouTube journey— newer vloggers such as Luke Damant and Go with Ali seem to be following the same business model. I hope I didn’t miss out on any of the travel vloggers who visited Mumbai. Let me know in the comments below.
