5 Places Like Smaaash in Mumbai

There is no denying the fact that Smaaash is one of the best gaming and entertainment centers in Mumbai, and possibly in the country. But they charge an exorbitant amount of money for an entry. Not everyone can afford to visit the nearest Smaaash on every weekend.

Secondly, Mumbai is a humongous city, and Smaaash is not located in every corner of the city. At present, there are four centers located close by. Folks staying in places like Navi Mumbai, North Mumbai, and Thane have to go to great lengths to reach one of the four centers.

Thankfully, there are plenty of places like Smaaash in Mumbai. They may not be as feature-rich but you will surely enjoy the VR games and bowling. Not to forget the tasty and affordable food these places have to offer. Below, I discuss places like Smaaash in Mumbai and its adjacent areas.

Here are the best places like Smaaash in Mumbai

1. Timezone, Phoenix Marketcity Mall Kurla

Timezone is located on the first floor of the Phoenix Marketcity Mall. This place is open on all days, the timings are 11 am to 10 pm.

You can enter the Timezone by first entering the mall. There are two gates, one on the main street and the other from the right side of the building.

Gaming arcades and bowling are two main attractions of the Timezone. But you can also enjoy VR gaming, trampoline, and much more at an affordable rate.

This place can be difficult to reach for people traveling by train or bus. The mall is located far away from the Kurla railway station. And the road leading to the mall is busy with traffic on all days.

2. The Game Garden, Seawoods Grand Central Mall

The Game Garden is a massive gaming arcade and entertainment place in Seawoods, Navi Mumbai. It is located on the second floor of the Grand Central Mall.

As you can guess from the name, this place is themed after a garden. You will see a lot of artificial trees, plants, and flowers. The ambiance is quite good, but I recommend this place for folks willing to pay more than usual.

In addition to the bowling alley, this place also has a mini-golf course, a mini football field, and much more.

From the reviews online, I can conclude that the customer service is decent compared to other similar places in Navi Mumbai.

Estimated cost: Starting from ₹500

3. What the Fun, R City Mall

What the Fun is for people who want to experience the thrill of laser tag. This is the only place in Mumbai where you can play this recreational shooting sport. You can play with two teams— with 8 people on each team.

This place is located in R City Mall in Ghatkopar. The mall is near the railway station and metro station. It is open on all days. The timings are 11. am to 9.30 pm.

People of all ages can enter this entertainment center. The zombie-themed arena is dark, futuristic, and full of fog. They also play some interesting soundtracks which add to the experience.

4. Chuck E. Cheese, R City Mall

Chuck E. Cheese is an American family entertainment center popular for its video games and pizza. This is the best place for spending the weekend with the family. People usually spend 2-3 hours here.

In addition to the delicious pizzas, Chuck E. Cheese has kid’s games, birthday games, and themed parties for both adults and kids.

This is a good place for birthday pirates. You can book space for birthday parties, get-togethers, or any other private event. The prices are a bit on the higher side compared to local entertainment centers.

Estimated cost: Starting from ₹399

5. Flight 4 Fantasy, Kurla

Flight 4 Fantasy is a flight simulator center for entertainment purposes. Primarily, this place is for kids who are curious to know about airplanes, and maybe want to become a pilot in the future.

You will be accompanied by a co-pilot, who is also your instructor. He will be with you for the entire duration of the flight.

You can choose from three plans:

  • 15 minutes
  • 30 minutes
  • 60 minutes

You can choose the location you wish to fly in— choose from 20,000 airports from around the world. You can also set the altitude, speed, and many other parameters. Before you begin your journey, the instructor will explain to you all the controls and buttons.

You should know that the instructor guides you through the entire flight, and there’s no option to fly solo. This can be disappointing for some kids having previous experience with flight simulators.

Estimated cost: Starting from ₹2000

Final word

If you pay 500 bucks an hour, you gotta get your money’s worth. Lots of times people visit these places with their kids and end up disappointed. Mumbai is a crowded city with people everywhere. Pick an affordable place with a small crowd so you get a good value for your hard-earned money.
